Randolph County $21.46 The geographic heart of North Carolina, Randolph County has been at the crossroads of history since the 17th century, when explorers first arrived along the Great Indian Trading Path. Every variety of religion, creed, and color could be found in the county from its creation in 1779, with combinations that often proved volatile. From the Uwharrie Mountains in the west to the Deep River Valley on the east, Randolph County has been home to powerful opposing forces. It is a county where potters are more common than doctors. It is home to five of North Carolina’s first textile mills, yet it remains one of the state’s leading agricultural producers. Its residents refused to secede from the Union but sent six companies into Confederate service. Although settled by pacifist Quakers, bitter guerrilla warfare pitted neighbor against neighbor in both the American Revolution and the Civil War. A dry county that permits no sales of alcoholic beverages, it fostered the racing spirit of NASCA R by running moonshine along its back roads. It is a county with a history, politics, and people of vision, depth, and complexity. |

Color Scanners To Scan Your Documents
Technology is making life move faster and easier. Today a color scanner is considered a piece of new machinery that is essential for information technology. A scanner is a piece of machinery that scans a document, whether it is printed or handwritten, different images or anything else that you want to make into a file format on your computer. There are two different types of scanners on the market today. Color scanners and black and white scanners. There are charge coupled devices or contact image sensors that make up the image sensors on most scanners. Generally people ask what color scanners are? Is there a color scanner that is ideal for any scan job? How much do color scanners cost? The Canon CanoScan 8800F Color Scanner is one type of color scanner that is popular today.
A color scanner is a scanner which is intended for digitizing and transmitting color pictures to the computer. When many people scan anything for a black and white or gray scale scanner the documents do not utilize the scanner's color capability. There are different types of color scanners that are available such as a flatbed scanner, handheld scanner, sheetfed scanner, photo scanner, film scanner, drum scanner, portable scanner etc. A flatbed scanner is a fabrication of a glass pane. The glass pane is used to brighten the images. A handheld scanner is used for weightier assignments. On the other hand, a sheet fed scanner is used to scan any document vertically or horizontally. If you are scanning any kind of photograph, a photo scanner is used.
Drum scanners are used in the distributing industry because it allows greater detail to be captured. Portable scanners are easy to carry. Color scanners also have bit depth and resolution features. The resolution is measured in dots per inch or dpi in color scanners. For high resolution printing a high resolution scanner is used, conversely for a lower level resolution printing a lower lever resolution scanner is used for imprisoning images. Typically the color scanners have a resolution of 300 x300 dpi. Images are brighter when scanned with a color scanner. If there are any irregularities those are due to the clarity of light and the quality of the lens.
Some major companies of scanners are available in the market such as Epson, Hewlett-Packard, Microtek, and Relisys etc. The Canon CanoScan 8800F has power and USB pilots. The resolution of this scanner is 4800 x 9600 dpi. The Canon 8800F works properly with windows/ vista. The Canon CanoScan 9000F Color scanner is also on the market. The laser scanner is another type of color scanner. The WorldCard Color Scanner, another color scanner, is useful for all business card scanning and data management functions. Though the price of the color scanner is higher, the importance of the color scanner is increasing day by day.
