Herefordshire Murders

Herefordshire Murders

$7.28

Herefordshire Murders brings together twenty-eight murderous tales, some which were little known outside the county and others which made national headlines. Herefordshire was home to one of Britain’s most infamous murderers, Major Herbert Rowse Armstron, who, in 1921, poisoned his wife and attempted to poison a fellow solicitor in Hay-on-Wye. However, the county has also experienced many lesser known murders. They include the case of two-year-old Walter Frederick Steers, brutally killed in Little Hereford in 1891; eighty-seven-year-old Phillip Ballard, who died at the hands of two would-be burglars in Tupsley in 1887; Jane Haywood, murdered by her husband near Leominster in 1903; and the shooting of two sisters at Burghill Court, near Hereford, by their butler in 1926. Nicola Sly’s carefully researched and enthralling text will appeal to everyone interested in the shady side of Herefordshire’s history.

Driver Ball Position

PurePoint Golf Instruction – Driver Ball Position – Driver Golf Swing

I often see a number of amateurs prepare for their driver golf swing by walking up, after they have teed the ball up, they just take a step back and they address it. They grip the golf club and they address it, and they sort of just plot their feet down wherever they land, but let me tell you the proper way.

This way you'll be able to get the ball in the correct position more often than not. After you have the golf ball and you've gripped it and you have addressed it, then you'll just look down, take a peek down, and if this golf ball is running towards the left heel, then this is correct.

If you look down and you see the golf ball is a little too far forward off your left, that's too far forward and you'll probably see that the shoulders are aimed too far to the left.

On the other hand, if you look back down and you think the ball is too far back in your stance when you put this shaft along you, you'll be aiming way off to the right.

So, after you've addressed the golf ball, all you have to do to get ready for your driver golf swing is bring the shaft up and lay it along your shoulder line, and it should be going in the direction you want to go with it.

If you get it too far back in your stance at address, you'll wind up aiming your shoulders too far off to the right.

And if you get it off the left heel, this should be proper for most people.

Give that a try the next time out.

 A Laying On Of Hands

A Laying On Of Hands

In the early hours of a cold winter's morning in 1538 a churchman is murdered in Hereford cathedral. An innocent farmer now lies in prison awaiting execution. He decides to write his story down in the hope that some day justice might be done.Nearly 500 years later Falconetti, a young management consultant living in Barcelona, drops an old picture and stumbles across the letter. With the aid of his good-humoured friend Arturo and many hours on the Internet he gradually manages to piece together the whole story but the more he digs the more sinister the facts become involving well known figures of the time - Sir Richard Rich and Sir Thomas Cromwell among others - and eventually leading to the intriguing possibility that Henry VIII might have had another son apart from the sickly Edward and the bastard Duke of Richmond. The political manoeuvring and religious disputes of that cruel time form the dramatic backdrop against which a simple man's personal tragedy is played out in the beautiful countryside Herefordshire and northern Catalonia and as Falconetti uncovers this poignant story he also discovers many inner truths which will change him forever.Born in Herefordshire in 1954, the author developed a love of languages at an early age and studied French and Spanish. He loved history but wasn't very good at it. Having failed to gain employment as a qualified conference interpreter he entered the world of advertising where he travelled the world due to his linguistic skills. He lived in Spain for 18 years (Madrid and Barcelona) before moving to South America in 1996. Since then he has lived in Sâo Paulo, Brazil for 8 years and 1 year in Buenos Aires, Argentina.Since 2005the author has lived in Mexico City. He has a wife and two daughters who all live and work or study in England. His dream is to retire to the Mediterranean.
